What might be the reasons ..there might be many , but few are very important and should be handled to get good score.

1) Know what are the subjects that Placement test contains.Eg.Verbal reasoning , Current affairs , etc...

I just want to say you few feelings about the confidence. I feel every body will have same level of confidence . only the thing is at few times , it used to forget by the human. So it need to get back. But the confidence at the time of job search is not easy to get back , because it is tied up with many elements like money , prestige , surrounding people , etc . But among many , I want to choose the element of money. Because it makes any to independent up to some extent. The primary reason ,many used to said , what for job , is nothing but money. So lets concentrate on earning money. Is it tough to earn money ? No , not that much tough. It may be tough to earn money what extent any thinks to earn. But for basic needs , it’s not that much of tough to earn. There are many part time jobs , these may not give the position what any dreams , but it gives little money and that gives the confidence. Those jobs may range from part time faculty to part time consultant . Try to get some job , at least for three months . So that some money you will get and few new people you can meet .so that you can able to get new issues and as well as you can develop your communication. You may raise ask one more question .Will it won’t disturb my main job search ? am I not going to get deviated from the primary goal ? etc … BUT , I want to stress you one issue. If you really focus on your goal no body can change you. If you really feel to get , no body can stop you. I don’t want to give a big lectures about the motivation theories or self motivation techniques. I will say you , to know the world. Read the people. Means , try to understand what you require , then plan for it and get one by one. Don’t think that every thing you can make it in quick time.

I want to say one of the real problems I used to face. I , being an employer , really facing tremendous struggle to choose the right person to fill the position. It’s not that much of easy to fill a vacancy too. Many are not committed , many are not having subject , many are having not having communication , etc . I recommend you to meet as many people as possible for you , who are at good profession. try to get good tips from them. Try to analyze those , share with friends and decide what is your plan. The slowly implement it. if any problems you faced with that , try to revise it and continue it , till you win the job.

Confidence is not any where. It’s with you . You just try to get back that , by analyzing your self. Try to improve the knowledge in all positive issues. Try to read books or people. I didnt knew i wasted my time and money.Now i got one opportunity its training cum placement but i dont know how far to believe it bcz before i joined 2 institutes of same type.One of my weak point is communication skills,dont know during interview i get panic and i get confuse to explain the gap which i got after btech.So whats the best answer to say wt i done durng 2years.Give me the reply sir plz im in need of job now.I m trying to improve my tech skills.Whether to go for training cum placement or directly job trying.waiting for ur reply

I understood your real pain. It’s not limited to you. Many thousands of job seekers are at the same position. Even many cheated by many selfish business people. Now digging about your past and worrying won’t fetches any.

I will say few issues.

1) Comment about Loosing 2 years : This two years , you might feel like hell .As many people used to ask , What are you doing? Don’t worry for any. It’s your life. Two factors are there in it. One is time , second is money. You try to rectify the second one by earning money. Its possible by doing a part time faculty or call center or any job. It will give you confidence. Don’t worry for communication . You start speaking daringly , automatically you will get good command. As long as , you won’t speak you can’t improve. Next ,a bout the First one , TIME. its not easy to get back. But if you get a good job , you will forget. So now the problem , how you can get a good job. You already get cheated by two people. so I won’t recommend you to join that training and placement , you won’t believe strongly.
2) Before trying for software job , you try to improve your technical skills. As you got a gap , you need top concentrate on few technologies , which much competition won’t be there , for e.g PHP ,web designing , MySql etc .Improve your caliber in those. Don’t do any course blindly , to get a job. You try to improve yourself , if you are having computer at home . In this software field , no body can predict , what software filed will have market. So you try to have multiple technical skills. Next , try to do as many project s as possible. Fill you r resume with technical content.
3) Try to get international certification , in , .Net or what ever technology you feel. If you are able afford some money , you go with this. Microsoft , sun , etc companies are conducting these type of certifications.
4) Don’t try to keep fake experience , even people recommends. (BUT AS PER YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES YOU DO ,NO COMMENTS ABOUT IT).
5) I am very unhappy to say this point that , try job with references , once you are strong at technical and communication skills. As you are having two years gap , this is some what easy way to get job.
6) If you don’t have references , then you need to try at small companies only initially. You can apply MNC’s too , but , it’s tough to get calls. You try to mention at your resume , you are ready to give minimum 2 years commitment . This point may be highlighted , so that employers might call you for interview.
7) Try with consultancies . You Search for the consultants and try to be in touch with them. Jobs are there with consultants .
8) The top and bottom line is , You should be strong at TECHNICAL and COMMUNICATION SKILLS to GET JOB>
9) Better don’t explain your 2 years story to any employer . No body will believe and give importance. I am sad to say this point too. If you say this , you will get negative impression only. Try to say some convincing point . I can’t recommend any body to lie , but few people used to say that , I just going to get married , for financial stability I started searching job now , etc …
10) Keep time period and try to get some job first .It makes you to understand the world. Money gives you confident. Self earning always boosts person. Then you aim for your major job .It’s not mandatory to keep your part time job at your resume , if you feel that it gives you negative impact.

Hi Mr.Tushar ,

I appreciate your confidence that you know the answer. Very few freshers used to say that I am having good technical knowledge. When you have practical exposure , you can get this confidence . Lets , come directly to your question . lets split that into two parts.

Problem-1: I could not express my knowledge. How can I ?

This comes under presentation problem. So you need to practice the mock interviews. Ask your well wishers or friends or seniors to conduct few interviews for you. You try to take those in a serious manners. You try to present as usual. Ask them what are the mistakes your commenting., so that you can rectify those. If you feel , tensed , then you take little time to respond for the question asked by interviewer. At any time when you know , 100 % , its better that you can say 75 % , in the first step and remaining 15 % , at second step. And if the question is straight forward , then say the remaining 10 % too. Remember that , experience recruiters , ask s the questions from what you present. So if you know any answer fully , better say with confidence , if you don’t know don’t try to say the wrong answer. It’s better to say sorry , and say them that you know only basic level in that topic. Before answering any question you try to analyze the answer and the say to the interviewer . so that you can present in a better way.

Problem-2: I could not Remember the answer. What to do ?

This is not only your problem. Many used to face the same , at the time of the interview .as job seeker feels nervous at the time of the interview. So you don’t consider this as a big issue., try to hold your tense , so that you can have your natural abilities. You don’t keep in mind that , if I won’t get the job , what to do? Only keep in mind that , I need to present , what abilities I am having .so that I can get a job. My Reply : Great that you finished MCA. You told that you are searching job at MNC. I want to ask you , is MNC’s only your aim in the initial stage. Its very hard for the job seeker to get into MNC directly. Why can’t you try in middle level company and then you can go with that experience and you can get into your Dream of MNC job. There are thousands of middle level companies are there . As at present you got a gap of 2 years , I clearly understood that you you prepared 2+ years of experience from one institute called “fli***** solu***** “ . But can you able to ensure that , whether that company is not in BLACK LIST ( Many MNC’s will have the database of black listed companies , so that won’t let the candidate to get scrutinized for interview or Job , because now a days Employee verification is MUST ). So you check that company is doing regularly this kind of issues means , you should opt for other choice . Here I want to stress one point , I don’t want to say ‘Yes’ , or ‘No’ , for building the experience from other places. Its you to decide.

Yes , you spent lot money . Not only you many , job seekers used to spend lot money , as everybody wants job , and as some body guides , that course they used to join. O what ever you spent , you won’t get back , but you can earn more. Don’t worry for that. At present don’t spend any money to learn , only sit on internet and build your knowledge. My Reply : As you told its fine that , you attended many interviews . so where the things going wrong . check that . I saw your resume , in that many wrong presentations are there.

i) Remove the company name at the “second line of your resume “ . keep that in relevant place.

ii) Your projects are giving an impression of Dummy projects . Means , you gave a title as “Portal” , so what is the domain name . This will be the questions asked by the technical manager. Can I tell you one thing , the company , which you built experience, that own domain name it self its not working . I checked it . even its expired to .This “portal” is not available means , its better to change this project.

iii) The projects one you kept from USA , other you kept very low profile , sugar factory project. This won’t work out in MNC’s.

iv) So you have to update your resume. First develop your knowledge and then you present those.

v) Try to know more about Employee verification check.

One more issue , always you should get spirit to achieve. Why to cry o others. How much hard work they did you know ? how many struggles they might faced you know ? keep in mind ,” DON’T COMPARE YOU WITH ANY OTHERS” . you are having your potential , you will win a day. If you get frustrated , it makes you to loose your goal fast. About Dec 2007 , its good that you kept time period , but you analyze your self where you stands. Think positively , and try to keep the back plans , then you can get the success. Many job seekers are facing the same problem , they used to get insulted / pointed out by relations / friends / others . So don’t worry for those , once you get the job , they will know what you are.

You analyze first and decide , is the time period of Dec 2007 , is correct or not . If no you stretch few months . concentrate to develop your technical and communication skills. Then you will get job.

I am a B.Tech holder in IT. I am from Kerala and I took degree from Kerala itself. In may, the Chennai based company came to our college and recruited 20 students from all branches. Actually one of the director was came to our college for conducting the test. He said before the test, "All the students who passes the test will be selected". He went after the test and 2 weeks later a list of 20 students came to college by saying these students are selected. After that there was no news from the company. When the college authorities went there and gave our results and met the HR Manager (2 months ago), they said they recruited around 400 students from all over India, but result of some colleges in north India are yet to come. They will definitely call but there will be some more delay. Last week also we enquired there but the reply was same. They recruited only from our college in Kerala. We are waiting for this during the last months. There is no chance to get an information from their website because the last update was on 2002. If u can give any information regarding this, it will be helpful for me.

Hi Sreenath, congrats for getting selected in campus selection. I required some information about the company, so that I can tell you about the companies activities. Generally Branded companies take maximum of 6 months time to recruit the candidates from campus. At the time of year 2000 only, they took maximum of 1 year time. So, the company which conducted campus selection might not come to recruit, if the period crosses 6 months ( I need some more information from you to say about this). You keep in mind that, the chance to get into that company is 10% only. What I will suggest is rather than sitting and keep on waiting for that company, try for other companies too with same spirit. Definitely you will get job. As you told that company web site is not updated from 2002, we can suspect a bit!. Plenty of companies are asking freshers, try with spirit .send me web site and address, so that I can tell you about the company.

Hi Rahul , congrats for u r success in u r university. I saw your percentages , that shows a positive graph. good. but still some companies are looking minimum 60 % , from X it self. any way try to present your degree and PG in resume in walk –in s. But while you upload to any branded companies give your full details at last , no in first page. Your B.com , is not a big issues, why because your having an advantage, you will be strong in Finance domain. Try to highlight That. You have not sent me u r resume also. Next about your query about institute , I cant recommend you as I have not much researched into others offers. I can suggest mine , which is at Chennai , but as you told your at Hyderabad , it may not comfortable for you.

You can Get job In Call Centers / BPO. Even Your having MTI , you can practice so that you can get job easily. There are lot of non voice based call centers/BPO are there.

I can tell you one issue. You try to do web related project. If you have system with you , the you can purchase web hosting space and database space which comes in less price , you can do online project , and you can present that in your resume , so that technical managers will give priority .

Hi Ravi….I understood, your issue…but you have not sent me Resume, to analyse, first phase.

Any way u told that u got a call from one of the top Indian Branded company , you missed that.Have you intimated your absence? If not you cant do any now.One thing is generally, one of the top Indian Branded company will call people 9 months once, the candidate failed or absent for the interview.so don’t worry , you just re apply, they will call you.

Its nice that you are preparing 5 Hrs, daily for aptitude test . fine but try to update to latest technologies. Any one specialization. May Be J2EE or .Net. you can explore all, better one specialization. some middle level companies are calling freshers and conducting technical interview directly ( no aptitude ) . Any way don’t leave aptitude practice, that will boost up you.
